Remember how I said I was going to be better about making more regular posts here?
Well, obviously I have a lot of work to do.
It’s November again, which means National Novel Writing Month is at last upon us! I got to a pretty decent start today, reaching over 3000 words–but to be fair, probably half of those words were written already. I’m taking a short story I wrote way back in high school and revamping it for my novel this year. It’s now a mystery, I think, which makes me nervous because I’ve never written mystery before and I don’t know if I can craft a convincing enough plot.
We’ll see. November isn’t the time for doubts. November is the time to let everything, the good, the bad, and the godawful, onto the page.
If anyone else is participating in NaNoWriMo this year, I’d love to know what you’re working on. Leave me a comment here, or friend me on the NaNoWriMo website so we can cheer each other on!
(By the way, if you’re wondering about the image for this post: It’s from around this time last year when Jeff and I were in the UK. Ah, memories…)
